Jung expertly describes the situation of the psyche of the modern man and the dangers that, despite all our scientific and technological advances, still lurk within our individual and collective psyches. Of course, the “collective psyche” being more abstract than the individual psyche, and composed of individuals, is not where the energy for change is to be found. Though much drama plays out on an external stage, it is in the dark shadows of the individual psyche that man must first locate his efforts. These are not new ideas— but Jung’s iteration was powerful to me.

Letter to My Future Husband

Dear Future Husband: 

Tonight I miss you. I wonder about how it would be to have you just with me, maybe while I do my thing and you do yours. I'm studying light right now for this essay I'm working on mainly for fun. I should be working on getting products into my shop. But I love to learn and I miss writing. If you were here, I would tell you about how cool the human eye is. I would tell you about how mind-blowing it is that there are galaxies 13 billion light years away. And we would just think about that for a second and then come back to earth.
